The Story
These wines are the result of my hobby gone wild and the long lost dream of Chateau Le Cabin has finally come true. In the early 80's the great experiment began in my log cabin in Aroda, Virginia. The cabin's cellar was full of home winemaking gear and very small barrels full of the first tastes of Horton wine. Twenty-seven wines and 20 years later, Chateau Le Cabin has finally been made in the form of fruit wines unlike any I've ever tasted. Unlike most fruit wines, these are not candy sweet, but more like serious premium grape wines that are well balanced in acidity and sugar. Grape wine was added to make the wine more complex and food-worthy.

90% Pear, 10% Viognier - sweet fruit wine, highly aromatic, medium bodied, smooth, balanced finish.
Peach
90% Peach, 10% Viognier, - sweet spicy late harvest type fruit wine, highly aromatic, full bodied, smooth, balanced finish.
Plum
78% Plum, 22% Cab. Franc, - sweet smooth fruit wine, highly aromatic, medium bodied, smooth, balanced finish.
Cherry
83% Cherry, 17% Cab. Franc, - sweet smooth fruit wine, cherry aromas, medium bodied, smooth, balanced finish.
Cranberry
81% Cranberry, 17% Cab. Franc, - sweet-tart of a fruit wine, cranberry aromas, medium bodied, smooth, balanced finish.
Raspberry
91% Raspberry, 9% Cabernet Franc - semi-dry, highly aromatic, full bodied, exotic fruit flavors, followed by a long balanced finish.
Blueberry
90% Blueberry, 10% Petit Verdot - extremely aromatic, full bodied, exotic fruit flavors, followed by a long balanced finish.
Blackberry
90% Blackberry, 10% Petit Verdot - extremely aromatic, full bodied, exotic fruit flavors, followed by a long balanced finish.
Strawberry
