Feb. 14 & 15 - Washington DC International Wine & Food Festival - Ronald Reagon Bldg. Sat. & Sun. 2pm-6pm.  The Washington D.C. April 18 - Celebration of the Vine - Third Annual “Celebration of the Vine” Wine Festival Moves to the Chesterfield County Government Complex.  Chesterfield, VA.  11am - 6pm.

April 24 & 25 - Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival - Fri. 2pm - 9pm, Sat. 11am - 6pm. In a traditional wine-tasting atmosphere, Virginia Wineries will be offering wine samples to attendees over a two-day event. A number of local-independently owned restaurants are participating as food exhibitors to sell foods that compliment the wines. Regional artisans are also being invited to participate as exhibitors. April 25 & 26 - Great Grapes Wine, Arts & Food Festival - Reston Town Center (northern VA) (hours to be determined) Tantalize Your Taste Buds! You are invited to celebrate the taste of over 100 unique, diverse and flavorful wines! The Virginia Wineries want you to sample the essences of their best grapes while expanding your tongue's tastes.  A full palette awaits your arrival to Great Grapes! April 25 & 26 - James River Wine Festival - Innsbrook Pavilion - Richmond, VA. - Sat. 12am - 7pm, Sun. 12pm - 6pm.  This year's James River Wine Festival will include 22 well-known wineries, live music both days, great food, arts and crafts and free parking.  Info:  804-353-1525.

May 2 & 3 - Montpelier Wine Festival - Montpelier - Orange, VA.  Sat. 11am - 6pm, Sun. 12pm - 5pm.  The Montpelier Wine Festival is a premier spring event for the whole family. Held annually on the grounds of Montpelier, the lifelong home of James Madison, the fourth President of the United States and the "Father of the Constitution," the Festival showcases distinctive arts and crafts; specialty food vendors; live music; "cooking with wine" classes; children's entertainment and rides; and tastings all day.  Info:  540-672-5216.

May 9 - Spring Town Point Wine Festival - NEW LOCATION Elizabeth River Pavilion behind Nauticus - Norfolk, VA.  Sat. 11am - 6pm.  Join Festevents in welcoming spring’s newest annual tradition featuring music,, gourmet foods, specialty wares, and samplings of newly released vintages and past favorites from Virginia’s premier wine-makers. Info: 757-441-2345

May 9 - Festival of Spring - Old Town Luray, VA.  10am - 5pm. You will be surrounded by fine crafters, delicious foods and live entertainment in our beautiful Downtown. Relax in our Wine Garden, sampling wines from 10 Virginia Wineries. $10.00 admission to Wine Garden. Try your luck with a duck as hundreds of duckies race down the Hawksbill Creek, cash prizes awarded! Children will be full of smiles once they see all of our activities in the Inn Lawn Park. May 15, 16 & 17 - Mount Vernon Spring Wine Festival - Mount Vernon, VA. Fri., Sat., Sun. 6pm - 9pm.  Bring a blanket and stretch out on the lawn to enjoy an elegant evening of live jazz music and stunning Potomac River views. Candlelit Mansion tours include the rarely-seen Mansion cellar and appearances by George Washington. Ticket quantities are limited for this popular event.  Tickets: 703-573-SEAT.

May 16 - Front Royal Annual Wine & Craft Festival - Front Royal, VA. - 10am - 6pm.  Artists and Crafters from all over the east coast. Find anything from fine handmade jewelry, hand painted wine glasses, hand crafted musical instruments, pottery to iron work. Plenty of fun for the entire family including a children’s area and come try your skill on the mechanical bull.  Info:  540-635-3185.

May 23 - Wintergreen Festival of Wines - Wintergreen Resort, VA.  12pm - 5:50pm.  Info: 434-325-8292.

May 30 & 31 - Vintage Virginia - Bull Run Park (northern VA). Sat. & Sun. 11am - 6pm.  Vintage Virginia is one of the state's oldest and longest-running wine festivals, produced by Across-the-Way Productions and the Virginias Wineries Association. The festival is held in the Northern Virginia area, at Bull Run Regional Park Special Events Center, and features over 50 of the most prominent Virginia wineries, pouring over 350 of their finest selections. Vintage Virginia also features some of the best entertainment you'll find at a wine festival, with music from some of the nation's most talented performers, educational workshops and children's activities. June 13 - Summer Celebration - Lee Hall Mansion, Newport News, VA.  11am to 6pm.  The late spring splendor of Lee Hall Mansion's beautiful grounds provide the setting for the Eighth Annual Summer Celebration Wine Festival. The finest vintages from Virginia's best wineries combine with live music, exquisite food and unique craft vendors to make this one of the Peninsula's most popular events. Tasting tickets $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. Non-tasting $10.00.

June 13 - Wine & Arts Festival - Locust Grove, Walkerton, VA.  10am - 5pm.  Enjoy Wine Tasting, Artwork and a day of music at the historic Locust Grove Farm in Walkerton - King and Queen County. Just a short drive from Richmond, Fredericksburg or Virginia Beach.  Artists and Virginia Farm Wineries will be attending the event on the bluffs of the Mattaponi River at Locust Grove Farm.  Only 30 minutes from Richmond on the Middle Peninsula.  Info: 804-769-8201.

June 13 - Roanoke Valley Wine Festival - Elmwood Park, Roanoke, VA.  1pm - 6pm.

June 20 - Central Virginia Wine Festival - Innsbrook Pavilion, Richmond, VA.  12pm - 6pm.  Sponsored by the VA Tech Alumni Assoc. 

June 21 - Manassas Jazz & Wine Festival - Harris Pavilion, Manassas, VA.  11am - 6pm.  Now in its fifth year, the Manassas Wine and Jazz Festival is held on Father’s Day at the Harris Pavilion, located in the heart of historic Old Town Manassas. Featuring 3 headline jazz artists, this smaller event is a more intimate, relaxed afternoon of tasting and purchasing wines from 15 different award-winning Virginia wine artisans. Attendees appreciate this refined atmosphere for the chance to discuss wines with the vintners, shop at the merchant booths that offer wine related merchandize and dine from upscale food concessions. July 4 & 5 - Floyd Fandango Wine & Beer Festival formally Wine Down The Music Trail - Floyd, VA.  11am - 6pm.  Wine down the Music Trail is a celebration of fine wine, music, food and mountain crafts on the Blue Ridge Parkway, near the Villa Appalaccia and Chateau Morrisette Wineries!  Named after The Crooked Road, Virginia's tourist driving route connecting major heritage music venues, Wine Down the Music Trail offers a unique musical experience as a backdrop to your wine tasting.  Info: 540-745-3378.

Aug. 29 & 30 - Discover Virginia Wine & Food Festival - Ruckersville, VA.  11am - 6pm.  Sample from the wide variety of food and wine exhibitors, relax on the lawn, walk through the Battle of Stanardsville encampment or explore the crafts and family activities and get out an enjoy the beauty of Greene County, Virginia!  Info: 540-718-3487.

Sept. 5 - Rockbridge Food & Wine Festival - Lexington, VA.  Lime Kiln.  11am - 4pm.  Join us for a day of wine tasting, food sampling and great music!  Info: 540-463-5375.

Sept. 7 - Herndon Jazz Festival - Herndon, VA.  Monday 12pm - 6pm.  Info: 703-435-6868.

Sept. 12 & 13 - Neptune Wine Festival - VA Beach, VA.  12pm - 5pm.  Neptune's Park 31st Street.  Sip, savor and purchase wines from the Old Dominion's leading vineyards in an oceanfront setting. Food, live music and specialty vendors will also be a part of the event.

Sept. 19 & 20 - Festa Vino di San Gennaro - Reston, VA.  Join us for  Festa Vino! presented by The San Gennaro Foundation of Virginia. All of the proceeds of this festival will benefit the charities represented by San Gennaro. This is a unique wine festival accented by a celebration of Italian culture. Treat your taste buds to an array of the finest Italian and International wines as well as local wine from the Virginia wineries.

Sept. 19 & 20 - Virginia Wine Festival - Bull Run Park - Manassas, VA.  11am - 6pm, Sat. & Sun. 

Sept. 25 & 26 - Wine On The Beach - Ocean City, MD. The Inlet.  12pm - 7pm.  Featuring Wineries from the United States Micro-Brewed Beers, Delmarva Cuisine, Quality Arts and Crafts, Local & Regional Live Music.

Sept. 26 & 27 - Smith Mountain Lake Wine Festival - Bernard's Landing, VA.  11am - 6pm. 

Oct. 2, 3 & 4 - Mount Vernon Fall Wine Festival - Mount Vernon, VA.  6pm - 9pm.  Join Mount Vernon in its rain-or-shine fall celebration of the history of the Virginia wine industry on the east lawn overlooking the Potomac River. Participants sample wines from award-winning Virginia wineries, learn about the successes and failures of our Founding Father’s wine endeavors, enjoy live blues, and meet “George Washington” on the Mansion's piazza.

Oct. 3 - Fall Jubilee - Old Town Manassas, VA.  10am - 4pm.  Fall Jubilee is a community-spirited, family-oriented event. This year's Jubilee includes live music, performances by local groups and entertainers, and a wide variety of foods. Booths of handmade arts and crafts are the main attraction of the Jubilee, with more than 75 artists and crafters attending the event. Fall Jubilee is free and open to the public. There is a large Kids Corner with children's entertainment, games, and activities to amuse you all day long.

Oct. 4 - Carytown Wine Festival - Richmond, VA.  12pm - 6pm. 

Oct. 10 - Autumn Peak Festival - Massanutten Resort, VA.  10am - 4:30pm.  Take a chairlift ride to the peak of Massanutten Mountain and see the Shenandoah Valley in the splendor of fall. Live music arts & crafts, fabulous food and Virginia wines highlight this popular event.

Oct. 10 & 11 - CIAO Italian Wine Festival - Williamsburg, VA.  11am - 6pm. 

Oct. 11 - Taste of Culpeper Wine Festival - Culpeper, VA.  12pm - 5pm.  Tempt your palate at "Taste of Culpeper" featuring the very best in local cuisine from Culpeper's unique restaurants and Virginia wineries. Other activities of the day include childrens activities, and live entertainment.

Oct. 16, 17 & 18 - Shenandoah Hot Air Balloon Fest - Historic Long Branch, VA.  Fri. 4:30 - 7pm, Sat. & Sun. 11am - 5pm.  Photo Gallery.

Oct. 17 & 18 - Town Point Wine Festival - Norfolk, VA. Town Point Park.  11am - 5pm.  Join us along the Downtown Norfolk waterfront for one of the state’s largest outdoor wine festivals featuring more than 30 Virginia wineries providing a sampling of wines available for purchase by the glass, bottle or case.  Also enjoy gourmet, made-in-Virginia food items, specialty crafts, and live musical entertainment.
